August 4, 2026: The Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority (MVCA) advised today that the level of Dalhousie Lake is expected to rise over the next few days due to the heavy rain throughout the Mississippi watershed and the expectation that the Ontario Power Generation corporation will release water into the system from the High Falls dam. While current water levels are within the historical range for this period, the lake has risen approximately 20" (.5 metres) over the last two weeks. Residents are encouraged to secure their docks, watercraft and other items in, or around, the lake. We will pass along additional information as it becomes available.
